Can you ask community members?

Hi answerer's.

Can you ask the community members to go vote on unresolved questions? Give the name of a person that didn't bother to return a best answer? So now it's in voting stacking up ( I have some that are like 4 months old now). I shall return %26amp; give a best answer or what I feel is the best answer. Thanks

I think it is OK as long you do not suggest which one to be voted otherwise it will be considered "point gaming/solicitation" which is in violation of community guidelines.

It is my opinion that if someone took the time to answer a question that I asked, then I should choose a best answer. I choose an answer based on 2 reasons:

1. Does the answer address my question? and 2. I think it is just common courtesy to respond with a best answer.

I understand that not everyone can give a best answer right away, but I always try to within a day or so of asking my question. What it comes down to, is that I appreciate the people who respond to my questions and want to reward the great answers that I receive.

PS I agree with Exo, I think it is ok as long as you are not telling people to vote for a specific person's answer.
You have to use a Question and Answer format on this site. You can't simply suggest that people vote on unresolved questions (which is not a question), or post links to unresolved questions and ask for votes (which is considered soliciting).
