Police Community Support Officers (PCSO's) can be 'hired' by Police Forces in England and Wales at the age of 16. Personally , I would like to apply when I am 16 but what do you think?? Do you think they are a waste of money or would it be good to see youths actually doing something for the community?
What do you think of Police Community Support Officers being recruited at 16 years of age? (in the UK)?myspace code
I read this in the paper recently and although it dose
seem a bit young and they do have to pass test plus
suitability for the job,why not ? we need law enforcement
that is not tide up in red tape and not just swanning round in cars. They will tackle the real problems that full time police
don't,Yobs,vandalism,terrorizing old folk and drunken
out of control kids.Yes i am all for sixteen year olds
becoming neighbor hood cops.An old guy fed up with yobs.

Waste of money.........what good is a fake policeman in any situation.........why am I paying Council Tax for this?
16 years is to young. I am 16 so i now that guys my age are not mature enough to be able to do it (well most of them are not)
All I see PCSO's doing is fineing people for petty and outdated offences. that's what they call helping the community . they don't have any real power they just seem to be an annoyance where I live. walking around in packs looking for an excuse to fine people.
As for helping the community I ve seen no evidence that PCSO's can make a difference. I prefer to see more real police.
so yes I believe they are a waste of money
I live on a small quiet road and they come up at night every other month to issue 锟?0 tickets to most of the cars. Theres no parking problem here its a small quiet wide dead end road .
I hate them
