I concur with Teebs. Grossmont is the better school. The curriculumn ther has been masterfully designed totransfer credit to a UC or CSU school very easily. A lot of SDSU and UCSD students go to Grossmount to take classes that would usually be impacted and more costly to attend in the respective universities.
I went there many moons ago while attending SDSU at the same time. Grossmount was sometimes called little SDSU.

from what i can tell grossmont has a better class selection and is a little easier to transfer credits to the UCs (or, at least UCLA), southwestern is very much the thirteenth grade of chula vista. still, they're both community colleges and you'll get similar opportunities at both.
