Transferring from community college to four year college that offers guaranteed admission.. does it

University of Virginia (and many other schools in virginia) offer guaranteed transfer admission if you get at least a 3.4 gpa at a community college in virginia. Does taking this route look bad in the post-graduate world... ie i want to go to get my master's degree from a prestigious university... or do post graduate admissions officers only care about where you graduate?

University of Virginia is one of the best public universities in the world. A degree from U of VA doesn't look bad -- no matter how you got there.

Getting a UVA degree will override any issues related to where you spent your first two years.

This is an often used route for young people for financial reasons. I do not think it would be held against you.
Many students do this. Grad schools will look at your overall GPA with special attention paid to upper division classes. They will not look at how you were admitted to the university.
Where you graduate is more important, but you need to keep up a high GPA at the community college. Many students take the transfer route out of financial need, so post-grad admissions officer and HR departments know it isn't necessarily a sign of lower aptitude or effort.
