Why can't I have a community at Yahoo! MyWeb 2.0 ( http://myweb2.search.yahoo.com/ )? I mean, come on! I'm under 18, allright (turn 18 in three months), but it's a link sharing/community based searching service! It's ridiculous that I can't have ?trused friends? when I'm under 18... That policy is nothing else than shallow!
And if there's no way to change it, I'd really like to know how I could change my birthdate registered with Yahoo!?

Currently, My Web 2.0 registrations are tied to Yahoo! 360 registrations. Those do not permit users under the age of 18. The policy is not because we don't trust minors to have "trusted friends"--that _would_ be silly. We're required to have it due to legal restrictions in the United States regarding what types of content people under 18 may be exposed to. Some portions of Yahoo! address that by having posters mark their content as "adults only;" others, like Y! 360, address it with a flat age limit.
We recognize that there are problems in having this tie to Yahoo 360's user registration process, including the one you mention. (Nothing against Y! 360; it and My Web just have somewhat different technical needs.) We've been working on a fix, and we will have a different basis for user registration in an upcoming release of My Web 2.0.

You cannot change your birthdate for your Yahoo! ID, for the very reason mentioned above. Yahoo! does not encourage you to use services which are legally restricted to minors. The above explanation should satisfy you, but there are plenty of other things to do online.
