Right now I am attending a community college. My parents are thinking about putting there house up on the market next spring. They are thinking about moving to another state
If they move to another state and I transfer to a different community college would I have to start all over again and take all of the courses over again? The reason why I am asking that is by the time I would have to transfer I would have 42 credits. Would it be better or me to transfer to a four year college?

Whenm you transfer from college to next, you may lose some credit, due to what is transfer or accredit from old to new school.
From C.C. to 4 years, you may only get some elective transfer.
Do your home work what is the elective that you may get transfer easily, such as Englis 101, business laws, macro, micro economics etc...
Then once you ready to transfer they may accept most of the basic curricurum and minimal credit lost.
Knowing what major you are going to specialise on would be helpful.
PS: If you plan to make money at the same time that you are going to college, take real estate course and some marketing and sale, it might just pay your way through college if you know how to apply it.
Best of Luck.

You will not have to start all over if you transfer to another community college. Just have your transcripts sent over to the college you will be attending, they will evaluate your transcript and let you know how many credits will transfer to their institution. Many college websites have some type of transfer credit guide that will tell you what classes transfer- (usually under the Registrar's office). As far as the 4-year college/university, it is very important to check with the college to see what credits they take from the community college(s) you attended...they don't necessarily take all the credits, and because you earn an associate's degree doesn't guarantee that you will only have 2 years left at the 4-year college. A lot of it depends on the degree you are planning on seeking. My best advice would be to talk to an academic advisor at the college(s) you are looking at attending and they should be able to give you some direction and advice.
