Each 4 year college handles transfers differently, so you'd have to ask the school. But most schools, I think, will want to see an SAT score, even if you are a transfer.
False.
SATs show prospective colleges how well you learned your high school stuff.
If you now have Junior College Credits, that shows how well you learned your Junior College stuff.
BOTH sets of data can help you can get into 4 year university, but you may be able to get the job done with half of the ammunition.
You may need SATs to get into the Junior or Community college.
I went to a community college and will be transfering and i never have taken the SATs
Yes you will still need to take the SATs.
Be careful though because a lot of community colleges also require that you take the SAT. I would just take it just in case.
And many universities will not allow you to transfer from a community college until you get your AA degree so you will have to spend more than one semester at a community college.
Having an SAT score on your record won't hurt you in either situation. Most schools, even 4 yrs schools, don't require SAT scores anymore, so you would have to look into which ever school you were interested in to find out.
It's good to start off at a community college %26amp; transfer because you can really build up your GPA there where its cheaper, then possibly get scholarships for the 4yr school you want to go to.
Good luck!
Possibly True. Some schools do require transfer student to submit SAT or ACT scores.
I decided not to take the SAT out of high-school because I was going to a community college first, but when I transfered to the Arizona State University business school, they required me to have an SAT or ACT score, no exceptions. I had to go and take the test.
If you spend two years at the community college before transferring, you do not need the SAT. If you try to transfer before finishing two years, then you will need the SAT (and the schools will look at your high school grades to determine whether or not to admit you, which they would NOT do after two years).
You don't need to take it because community colleges accept all local residents. When you transfer, admission will be influenced by your prior classes at this college. However, it never hurts to put a good SAT score on your resume and you have nothing to lose by taking it.
