If yes, can you please explain how? Thanks.
Is it possible transfer from Community college to UC within 1 year?myspace co
First of all why would you want to? I went to a community college and I talked to my adviser to make sure whatever I took transferred. You should do the same thing so you are not wasting your time on empty credits.
I graduated in 2000 from my tech school and when you look at the money that is saved on credits and the experience of hands on with the tech schools you will actually be ahead of all the other students when you do transfer.
I know in the science field NO students at the universities gets to touch any equipment until their senior year. You watch the instructor show you how to run the equipment. And so look at everything you will be gaining from staying at the community college.
I have 2 other sisters who also went to community colleges and one went on to get her masters degree. All three of us have very good jobs. The two of us who did not go on to the university have great jobs. I am a QA/QC Lab Tech and the other sister is a VP of a bank. The one that did go on is an accountant of the US Army, but she was also in military intelegence.
But if you are really set on going on to the University go talk to your adviser or go the the office and talk to someone there that will guide you to which adviser of students you need to talk to at your school.
But again I a would advise against it, and make sure you get it in writing what will and will not transfer. If the university changes their curriculum and you do not have it in writing the grandfather clause may not help you.
So I hope this helps you in your desicion on wheter or not to continue with the tech school or move to a university.
Good Luck with whatever you decide to do.
