i got in trouble for something now i have to do 30 hours of community service. i called libraries, hospitals, nursing homes, fire department they all said no to me either because they dont need any or because they dont accept court community service. i am 14 years old

Contact (a) Red Cross, (b) United Way, (c) a local church or other congregation, (d) Labor Day is coming up, which means the Muscular Dystrophy Association Jerry Lewis Telethon is coming up---go to the MDA and see hwat help they may need. Each of these are normally court-recognized and approved. You can Google each of them.

If you go to your local newspaper, and explain your situation, they may be able to direct you, as well. But I know adults and youths who have worked for the United Way and the Red Cross and done labor, and very few churches or congregations of any nature will turn you down if they believe in the act of redemption.

Try contacting the United Way office where you live, or contact Habitat for Humanity. Both are fine organizations and both are always looking for help. Explain your situation to them and they may be able to put you to work.
